The author, Mary Weins, was raised in a very strict fundamentalist church. As a result, she felt almost everything she did was a sin, and she could not live up to the requirements of Christianity. For these reasons, she dropped out of church and lived a life that was not pleasing to God.
It wasn’t until her son begged her to go to church with him that she finally relented. Fortunately, they attended a church emphasizing God’s love. This was the first time she realized that God loved her. As a result, she soon accepted Christ as her Savior and dug into the scriptures.
While going through the Bible, she realized God would forgive her for all she had done and accept her wholly. Furthermore, he would not hold her past sins against her.
Today, she realizes she is imperfect but knows God forgives her.
Mary wants to ensure that others like herself can realize God’s immense love for each of us and that he will not hold our sins against us if we genuinely repent and turn to Him.
The central theme in Galatians is… there is no condemnation for those who trust and serve the Lord. We are saved by the grace of God, not by works, and salvation is available for everyone!
Mary Weins was born and continues to live in northern California. She is married and has three sons and five grandchildren. Mary enjoys cooking, writing, traveling, socializing with friends, and playing with her grandchildren, not necessarily in that order.
