LIFE CAN BE OVERWHELMING!

Life can be overwhelming at times. It may seem like a series of problems and dead ends. In those dark times, depression tries to raise its ugly head!

Life is grand. Even though we go through many difficult times and life-changing events we would never choose, there is always something positive to focus on.

Maybe you’ve lost a job and don’t know what to do next. Get busy and find another that may be even better than your lost one. Could this possibly be the time to re-focus on something you would rather be doing? Maybe this wasn’t the career you envisioned in the first place.

PROBLEMS CAN BE JUMPING POINTS TO A BETTER LIFE !

While God does not turn bad things into good, He does work all the bad stuff for the good of the world . “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are called according to His purpose.” Romans 8:28 KJV

  I had a high-stress management position in a company and caught someone embezzling from the business. This finding was highly stressful for me. The perpetrators’ friends within the company began heckling and bad-mouthing me; preparing for the trial was overwhelming, and life wasn’t good for me.

I prayed and asked God what He would have me do. A few days later, while fuming over the treatment I had received at work that day, a license plate in front of me on the freeway had a message that just infuriated me and caused me to decide to start my own business to spite the owner of the car in front of me and all the men who had been so exasperating at work.

GOD WILL DIRECT YOUR PATH TO A BETTER OUTCOME!

I again prayed and asked God. How could I start this business? He reminded me of Isaiah 3:21, “Your ears will hear a word behind you, saying, ‘This is the way, walk in it,’ whenever you turn to the right or to the left.” Another verse also came to mind: “ For his God tells him what to do and teaches him the right way.” Psalm 37:23. I had no experience in actually creating a company. I took a notepad and pencil and started listing possible ideas. It was as though God was dictating the notes in my head. Once I had a plan established, I began to implement it.

God is so good! He will direct our paths if we ask Him to and trust Him for the outcome. Within three months, I was able to support myself. Within six months, I ran a very lucrative business with several employees.

It is not that I am so great. I did not have a clue other than to obtain a business license. Everything else was God’s idea! I studied how to hire employees and what the government required of me as an employer.

GOD’S LOVE NEVER FAILS!

  Another time in my life was when my (bigamist) husband left me for his other wife, whom I had no clue existed. This experience turned my world inside out. As a half-hearted Christian, I wondered how God could allow such a catastrophe in my life . It was the most gut-wrenching experience of my life! I thought we were happy.

I went off the rails and lived a very foolish life for a while. God protected me from myself and others. When I decided to return to God, I asked Him to help me put my life back together the way He wanted me to live. Again, step by step, he directed my path.

Today, my life is better than it has ever been. I am happy, surrounded by family and friends, live in a beautiful community, and am financially secure. Not rich, but who needs to be rich? As long as I can meet my needs and have a little extra in case of emergencies, I am happy!

I no longer need to prove myself by hosting big parties, going on trips, or purchasing luxurious things to prove I’m somebody. I am somebody because God says so, and so are you!

DON’T DESPAIR – GOD IS NEAR!

Whatever you’re going through, it will pass! It may not seem like it now, but it will pass! God has a plan for your life, and if you ask Him, He will show you what you need to learn from this experience and what changes you need to make in your life. He will bless you with success and give you peace and happiness if you ask Him, and then LISTEN and COMPLY by going in the direction He wants you to go. When it is God speaking instead of our wish list or egos, there is no doubt. There will be no questions or “what ifs” in your mind. God gives us perfect peace when it is His plan.

Does that mean jumping in and doing whatever without asking for directions? No! Ask God precisely what you should do, what steps to take, when, where, and how. Then, things begin to take shape when you respond according to God’s direction and timing. Of course, I can’t guarantee success in every idea you have, but if it is God’s plan, it will work out for the best!
